The Virginia L. Murray Elementary PTO, in conjunction with teachers and staff, aims to supplement the academic experience for the students at V.L. Murray.
The PTO offers support in different ways. One of the areas in which we have the most impact is inside the classroom. Members of the Murray Community contribute numerous hours working closely with the teachers, offering encouragement as the children complete academic tasks, participating in field trips and celebrating achievements.
Another important aspect of the PTO is the ability to raise funds to provide materials and enrichment opportunities that would not otherwise be provided by the school budget. In the past, our community has contributed financially to purchase new technology, art supplies, musical instruments, equipment for physical education and to build the outdoor track. The PTO holds monthly meetings in which we discuss ideas to better serve our school.
