Girls on the Run

Picture
Girls on the Run, Fall 2023
After an amazing inaugural Girls on the Run spring, we are excited to offer again for the fall.
Early August (Exact Day TBD)
Girls On The Run Registration Opens
More Info on Fall Season Below

As a reminder, this program is open to all girls in grades 3rd-5th and meets twice a week after school (Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:45-4:15pm).  At the end of the fall, there is a celebratory 5K that will be held on Sunday, November 12th at the St. Anne's-Belfield Lower School (note that participation in the 5K is not mandatory to participate in the program).

The program is about so much more than running though, as the weekly lessons emphasize individual strengths while building a sense of connection in a team setting, and explore such topics as empathy, communication, self-esteem, compromise, cooperation and many more.
Registration will open very soon (the exact date is TBD) and will be available here.

Coaches Needed
While we have a couple coaches committed to helping out this Fall, we still need at least one more to join our team.  And if we got two, that would be even better!  Coaches are trained (by GOTR) volunteers who will help to lead our team of girls through a season of powerful and fun lessons.  You do not need to be a runner, you simply need to have a desire to support and encourage the next generation!

All the training and lessons are given to you by Girls On The Run, so no outside planning time is necessary.  I (Alec) handle all of the communication with parents and logistics, so that won't occupy your time either.

If interested, please reach out to Alec Lorenzoni.
