  • Help is need for promotion with posters around school before the event, as well as adults the day of the event for set-up and meal & concessions sales.

MOVIE SELECTION

Thanks to everyone for their input and recommendations about movie choices! Ever wonder how the movie is selected? There are a few ways we review options: ​
  • Ultimately, a ballot with 3-4 options is sent to school, and the student community votes! Math curriculum for 1st grade includes tallying, so they have the honor of collecting and counting votes! 
  • The 2023 WINNING MOVIE IS: Secret Life of Pets
What to Expect
  • Arrive at 6 with picnic blanket and/or chairs. There will be music, raffle and a chance to eat, mingle and play with friends.  This is a great opportunity to meet your child's new friends and their families. 
  • RAFFLE! At arrival a table is set-up to purchase Raffle Tickets that support your PTO and there are 5 chances to win!! Tickets are 1 for $5 or 4 for $20 and can be bought in cash or Venmo.
  • For dinner, you are welcome to bring a picnic, or pre-order a meal for pick-up at the event. Order forms will go home in back-pack mail, or use the button to order online by Wednesday, October 4th. 
  • The Movie starts at dusk (around 7:15pm) and will end around 8:30pm.
  • Throughout the event there will be concessions like hot chocolate, popcorn, and candy. CA$H or Venmo accepted and all sales support this event and the PTO.

Reminders & Rules
  • Bring a sweater, flashlight and water bottle
  • This is not a “drop off” event. Children must be accompanied by adult chaperone. 
  • No alcohol permitted.
  • Playground will close during the film. 
  • Please be respectful of those watching the film and keep noise and talking to a minimum. 
  • Open to the Murray school community, not the general public. 
  • ​Rain Date is Friday, October 13th at the same time. 
Parking & Restrooms
  • Parking available at school lots, along the street and we anticipate overflow parking at Millstone of Ivy Preschool next door. Additionally, there will be a security guard patrolling the parking area for the duration of the event.
  • The rear entry to the upper hall will be open to access restrooms and water fountain. A volunteer will be stationed at the door to monitor activity.
