                                  WINTER 2020 - After School Enrichment PROGRAM

Registration for the Winter 2020 M3 after school enrichment program begins on Saturday, January 11 at 8am.    Classes begin January 27 and are held for 6 weeks from 2:35 to 3:35 pm.  Click here for the printable flyer.​
  • Classes meet for 6 weeks from 2:35-3:35 starting January 27th.    
  • Please wait for email confirmation before sending payment.

  • Financial assistance is available for up to two classes per student.  See registration form for details
Classes will be filled on a “first-come, first-served” basis.  We will monitor enrollment and close classes as they fill. Register early!

Monday Classes
ARTFUL COOKING - Kim Walker & Holly McDonnell
Each week students will create an artful design using healthy foods from the kitchen. Grades K-2, Limit 14.

TRASH TO TREASURE - Kathy Tillar-Hughes & Elaine Broadus
Create arts from recycled materials, a great way to use your creativity and create special pieces from everyday trash. Grades 1-5, Limit 14. 

Tuesday Classes
K-1 Coding - Elizabeth Waterbury
A beginning coding class specifically for our younger Mustangs! Students will learn coding concepts, logical progressions, and patterns through fun coding apps and games. Grades K-1, Limit 8.
(If/when this class fills, we will potentially add a second K-1 Coding class on Fridays. Please do add your child to the Friday waitlist if interested, so that we are aware of the level of interest.) 

LEGOS & CHESS - Kathy Tillar-Hughes
Students will alternate to learn & play Chess and work on individual and group projects to build LEGO structures using engineering, physics & architectural principles. Grades K-5, Limit 25.

SCIENCE FUN - Marcy Williams & Elaine Broadus
Join us for some science fun exploring how materials react with one another. Students  will also be given building challenges and will work together to problem solve and create structures using a variety of materials. Grades K-2, Limit 16.

TYPING - Ellen Patterson
Join us for a  fun online typing program with interactive typing curriculum.  Brand new students can join and returning students can pick up where they left off. Grades 2-5, Limit 10. 

BEADS GALORE - Valerie Parks
We'll make a variety of beautiful beaded creations! Grades 2-5, Limit 10. 

INDOOR BOX LACROSSE - Don Healy
****This is a 1.5 hour class and pick up time will be 4:05PM. 
Hone and advance your lacrosse playing skills. Limited contact, 4 on 4, indoor box lacrosse sessions. Games will be held in the gym. Grades 3-5, Minimum 12. Limit 20. 

Wednesday Classes
BOOKS, TREATS AND MORE - Elaine Broadus
Listen to a delightful book and eat a delicious treat each week.  On our last week, each child will choose one of the 6 books to take home.  (These are 6 different books and treats from the Fall class.) Grades K-2, Limit 10. 

COOKIES, CUPCAKES AND CANDY - Marcy Williams
We will learn how to turn cupcakes into cats, dogs and other creations.  We will also make cookies and simple candy creations that you can also whip up at home! Grades 1-3, Limit 8. 

UKULELE - Linda Corradino
This class is open to beginners and students who attended the previous fall ukulele class.  There will be review of previous techniques and an introduction to new chords and techniques for those who are ready.  Students will learn and work together in groups based on their comfort level. Grade 2-5, Limit 12. 

ACTIVE GAMES - Kathy Tillar-Hughes
Play soccer, football or lacrosse in the gym or outside with other active kids. Grades 3-5, Limit 25. 

IRISH DANCE - Meg Madden (Blue Ridge Irish Music School - BRIMS)
We will study the music and rhythm of traditional Irish folk stepdance, including reels, jigs and slipjigs. Grades 2-5, Limit 14. 

Thursday Classes
RIBBON DANCE - Meg Madden (Blue Ridge Irish Music School - BRIMS)
Explore the fun and beauty of movement by flying a silk ribbon through the air. Discover the shapes you can make as you snuggle into a whirlwind of your own design. We will build a performance using dancing ribbons. Grades K-3. Limit 14. 

WINTER CAMP! - Triple C Staff
Do you long for the summer days of camp, hiking and team games? Come to Winter Camp! We're bringing our favorite summer camp, Triple C Camp, to Murray. Triple C counselors will lead the group in camp games, songs, activities and team building. Grades K-5. Limit 15. 

CHALKBOARD CREATIONS - Shelia Breeden
Welcome to  your chance to create your very own creative design .  You will learn how to use a reusable silk transfer by peeling, pressing and chalking onto chalkboards, canvas and other surfaces to take home weekly. Grades 2-5. Limit 8. 

Friday Classes
READING MONSTERS - Elaine Broadus
Design a monster and teach it how to read.  Learn to master the trickies. Trickies are sight words.  For beginning readers. Grades K-2, Limit 10.

MORE COOKING AROUND THE WORLD - Kim Walker & Holly McDonnell
Each week students will make a dish from another country. Grades 3-5, Limit 14.

MINDCRAFT CHALLENGES FOR BEGINNERS - Valerie Parks & Heather Solga
We will be learning how to use Minecraft Edu in order to solve specific building/learning challenges. This class is appropriate for students who still need to learn how to use various commands to build, move, and retrieve resources in Minecraft. Grades 3-5, Limit 10. 

ADVANCED MINDCRAFT CHALLENGES - Valerie Parks & Heather Solga
Students will be using Minecraft Edu in order to collaborate with peers in a secure online environment to solve a variety of challenges. Students in this class MUST already have mastered the basic commands necessary to build, move, and retrieve resources, as the challenges in this class will be timed and detail oriented! Grades 3-5, Limit 10.
